Especially in environments with long-distance transportation, frequent handling, and even mechanical vibrations, the strength of packaging materials and structures is the key to ensuring product safety. In response to this demand,\u00a0ISO 2247 testing specifies methods to carry out vibration tests for transport packages at fixed frequencies. Meeting the low-frequency vibration regulatory compliance requirements can be difficult. We understand the challenges and guide companies through the process.<\/p><p>The ISO 2247:2000 standard outlines two different methods for testing vibrations:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Method A:<\/p><p>Set up the vibration table for an acceleration between 0.5 g and 1.0 g with the sample to be tested, making sure it does not separate from the table.<\/p><p>Perform the test selecting a peak-to-peak displacement as per Figure A. 1 of annex A, at a fixed frequency within the appropriate frequency range, to generate a testing acceleration that is between 0.5 g and 1.0 g.<\/p><p>Method B:<\/p><p>Set up the vibration table for an acceleration at a specific level, in a way that the sample to be tested separates from the table causing repetitive shocks.<\/p><p>Select the desired vibration amplitude; then, start the testing vibration at a frequency of 2 Hz and slowly increase until the sample repeatedly separates from the vibration table.<\/p><p>With the rapid development of e-commerce and cross-border trade, the durability of packaging is increasingly valued. As an internationally recognized packaging rolling test standard, ISO 2247 not only ensures product safety, but also reduces the cost of after-sales complaints and compensation for goods damage. Adopting this standard for packaging design and quality control in enterprises is undoubtedly an effective way to win customer trust and optimize supply chain management. Looking towards the future, continuous attention and application of packaging testing standards will create greater value for improving overall logistics efficiency and user experience.<\/p><p>This standard was created to measure the capability of a package or cargo unit to withstand a distribution cycle that includes hazards such as low-frequency vibrations or repeated shock.\u00a0The main purpose of a vibration test is to reproduce, under real conditions, the movements and vibrations suffered by the product + packaging system during transportation.
